Rewi Alley Academy now offers after school tutoring for high school students needing help with their English. This runs for five days per week during termtimes, from 3.30 - 5pm. Please contact the school for further details.
EOTC activities are provided on regular basis for students to practise English language skills in real life situations. Some of our most popular activities are:
Visit to the annual Canterbury Agricultural and Pastoral Shows
Kiwi (i.e. New Zealand) cooking
Attending live auctions where students practise listening for items and prices
Rewi Alley Academy is a signatory to New Zealand government’s Code of Practice for the Pastoral Care of International Students. It does all it can to help make students’ time at Rewi Alley Academy a rewarding experience for them.
Our pastoral care team consists of administration and teaching staff. There is also a designated Student Support Officer. Students can talk freely to our pastoral care staff members about their concerns and the help they need. Download the 'Code of Practice for the Pastoral Care of International Students' document here.
Rewi Alley arranges homestay accommodation for students at request.
