Education Outside the Classroom (EOTC)
EOTC activities are provided on regular basis for students to practise English language skills in real life situations.
Some of our most popular EOTC activities are:
- Visit to the annual Canterbury Agricultural and Pastoral Shows
- Kiwi (i.e. New Zealand) cooking
- Learning to play popular New Zealand sorts such as rugby
- Attending live auctions where students practise listening for items and prices
Pastoral Care
Rewi Alley Academy is a signatory to New Zealand government’s Code of Practice for the Pastoral Care of International Students. It does all it can to help make students’ time at Rewi Alley Academy a rewarding experience for them.
Pastoral Care Staff
Our pastoral care team consists of administration and teaching staff. There is also a designated Student Support Officer. Students can talk freely to our pastoral care staff members about their concerns and the help they need.
Help with Accommodation
Rewi Alley arranges homestay accommodation for students at request.
